October 17, 2021 closed a chapter for Lufthansa: the carrier’s cargo arm operated its final flight with the veteran MD‑11F. RadarBox.com shows D‑ALCC left New York at 23:13 on Saturday and completed a 6,190 km (3,846‑mile) transatlantic hop that lasted seven hours and 11 minutes, touching down in Frankfurt with Lufthansa freight at 12:24 yesterday. The jet had been scheduled to retire on Friday, but Lufthansa Cargo needed its capacity for weekend New York services.
