Shipping Policy
Your purchase will be shipped out within 48 hours (2 business days) on all in stock items. Weekends and holidays may impact our shipping schedule. If you place an order on a Friday your order will be shipped out on Monday providing it is not a holiday. If you have purchased a pre-order item you will be notified once it has been received by us, we will then ship the aircraft out to you the next business day.
NOTE: If you have chosen an incorrect shipping method that cannot be applied to your purchase you may be charged a 5% banking fee for reversal of the original transaction. If however you chose to upgrade shipping service the 5% banking fee would not be applied.
NOTICE: Possible Canada Post Labour Disruption
as early as November 3, 2024
Until November 3rd it will be business as usual for us shipping through Canada Post or other.
If a strike happens......
What does this mean for you?
Flight Deck Models will make every effort to get your purchase to you in the event of a Canada Post labour disruption.
Solutions may include the following:
In Canada and the USA we are prepared to use other low cost couriers for individual models. Some of these couriers have size and weight restrictions so if multiple models are purchased they may be shipped at a later date (when Canada Post is back to regular service) or we can outsource shipping to UPS, Purolator, FedEx etc. which may include a surcharge as their rates would be significantly higher.
International shipments may be delayed until the strike is over (if in fact there is a strike). Unfortunately International shipping with courier companies can be cost prohibitive.

Return & Exchange Policy
If your item is defective, you have 30 days from the arrival date of your shipment to return or exchange your product by sending the item(s) back to us.
We value your business and will make every effort to help you, we may ask for pictures of the damage/defective item to help make a determination as to whether we can replace it or find another equivalent model we will ship to you at *no charge.
We may or may not required the original item be shipped back. All returns must be in new, unused condition. All returns must be pre-approved before being shipped back (at buyers expense). Please contact us via email, provide us with your name, invoice number and original date of purchase.
We reserve the right to deny a return if the items are not in original condition.
All models are thoroughly inspected prior to shipment. If you receive a damaged or incorrect item, please contact us as soon as possible. We will then attempt to resolve the issue(s) as quickly as possible. The result will be made at our discretion.
Any pre-order cancellations/returns that have not yet been shipped will be refunded as well as the shipping charge less a 5% banking fee for processing of original sale.
If an item is not delivered/refused because customs or duties were not paid by or wanting to be paid by the purchaser, they will be responsible for paying the shipping to them as well as the return shipping and a 20% restocking fee.
What is not considered a reason for return:

Parts (motors, wings, antennas, etc.) of fully assembled models may disassemble during transportation. This can easily be solved by re-inserting the loose part, with or without instant glue.

Boxes are not always in mint condition because of transportation to our warehouse from the manufacturer or from our warehouse to your address so a damaged box is not a valid reason for return.

Models are partially hand made, and will often have minor imperfections. Customers ordering models accept the presence of minor imperfections.

If the manufacturer has missed details in the building process such as pantone colors are slightly incorrect, engines are the wrong model on the aircraft etc. unless the manufacturer has decided to recall the product.
